Messages
Send notices and announcements discreetly to speakers and staff.
What are Messages?
Messages are notices that appear on the Viewer screen, allowing you to communicate with speakers without interrupting the presentation. They're useful for:
- Warning that time is ending
- Asking to speed up or slow down
- Informing about program changes
- Giving technical instructions
- Notifying about audience questions
Creating Messages
You can create pre-defined messages in the Controller to use quickly during the event. Go to the "Messages" tab and click "+ New Message".
Each room can have several saved messages. You can edit, reorder, and choose which one to display at any time.
Displaying Messages
To display a message in the Viewer:
- Go to the "Messages" tab in the Controller
- Click the "Show" button next to the desired message
- The message will appear in the Viewer
- Click "Hide" to remove the message
Formatting Options
Each message can be customized with the following options:

|---|---|
| Color | White, Green, Yellow, or Red |
| Bold | Makes text bold |
| Uppercase | Converts text to UPPERCASE |
| Flash | Makes text blink to get attention |
Dynamic Placeholders
Use placeholders to insert dynamic information in messages. Placeholders are automatically replaced when the message is displayed:

The message "Next: $NEXT_TITLE with $NEXT_SPEAKER" will be displayed as "Next: Talk 2 with John Smith".
